The PLA file extension is used in the project archive saved using the ArchiCAD program. ArchiCAD is a 3D modeling application used by architects. This application includes multiple CAD designs saved as PLN files and Library Parts possibly referenced by the designs included within the archive. This program provides the users the capability to create architecture programs and files. This program utilizes a library named ArchiCAD Library. The ArchiCAD Library is divided into 17 CSI sections and folders for textures and internal data. All the files contained in the sections and folders use the PLA file extension. The PLA files may also be created using the ArchiCAD's Virtual BuildingTM approach. This means that the PLA files may be altered or modified any time the user wants.
