Lenex is a data exchange format, accepted internationally, for swimming. The Splash software comes along with a viewer that reads the Lenex files, a data entry tool and other related software. The file is a XML format file and can hence be parsed easily by any XML Parser and read locally. These files are used extensively by Swimmers, Swimming training institutes and Swimming instructors/coaches in order to record users data and then later use it for analysis in order to then apply that knowledge in helping the players improve their speeds. LEF is short for Library Exchange Format and is commonly used by the CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools in EDA industry. It is used to store physical information over an IC such as metal layers, sites and vias. It also includes a lot of descriptions of macros.
