These files are also used by Corel Draw applications for storing its image color information. These files are also files saved by the Mimio application which allows users to draw using a tablet computer screen with the help of a digital pen. It can also be used for recording or making diagrams, notes, illustrations, charts on the electronic whiteboard in the recording mode. It saves the data of the drawing in the file in the standard object-based vector format that is used by various applications and hence can be imported or read using other applications as well. These INK files support complete editing which includes scaling or rotating of objects within the image or even changing the color of an object, or the line thickness of a particular shape. It allows specifying the details of the pages as well as the objects in the drawing and these can also be recordings within the INK file. INK files also allow for copy pasting of selected data or objects to and from other external applications. Drawings created using a Pocket PC PDA with the help of a digital pen are also saved in INK format. This format however is a proprietary and not the standard vector image format and so can't be imported into external applications but it allows for easy scaling of the drawing and its objects without compromising on the quality.
