File Extension GP

The GP file extension is used by several programs such as the Gofer Project and the Geoworks Glue program. The Gofer Project was developed by Mark Jones as an educational version of the Haskell language dialect with an additional attribute identified as constructor classes'. All files of the Gofer Project ends with the GP file extension. The Haskell language dialect is a standard programming language with loose semantics and named after its developer Mr. Haskell Curry. The programming language is used to develop proper and concise software through its various features of rich libraries, profilers, debuggers including an integrated parallelism and concurrency. The developer of the program makes the production of an adaptable and top-of-the-line software simple. The Gofer Project was however superseded by the Haskell User's Gofer System or HUGS, a bytecode interpreter. Regarded as the handiest of all Haskell applications, the program provides a good learning on the basics of the Haskell. The program is also used for compiling various programs and for making the execution of these programs at a relatively fast speed possible.
