Stored brushes can be utilized as is by the user or modified and saved under another version within the library carrying the default ABR file extension format. Brush files are basically path vectors which can be understood by the application and allow the user to apply the paths to other editable objects. Editing and modification of the ABR files can be done under the Brushes Palette which will not modify the original brush file in anyway since the software opens a copy of the file by default. In order to save customized brush files within a library, a new file must be opened by the user with the new brush file loaded in the Brush Palette. This will provide the user with the option of saving the files directly to the Brush Libraries folder and would require restarting of the application to make the new ABR format file available for use.
